- Great WrestleMania
I have to say that I really enjoyed this WrestleMania to the previous and rather disappointing WrestleMania 25.
There were only two matches that weren't brill and one of them was the no holds barred match between Bret Hart and Mr McMahon which I thought was going to be a classic but got kinda ruined, but loved Bret Hart getting his own back on Mr McMahon. The match of the night for this WrestleMania had to be the career vs streak match between HBK and Undertaker which was put as the main event and both superstars put on an awesome main event. Not as good as the match they did at WrestleMania 25, but It was still good. The second match of the night for me was the John Cena vs Batista match for the WWE championship which had me out of my seat at numerous times, because it was just amazing.
Other matches I liked
Chris Jericho vs Edge
Randy Orton vs Ted D vs Cody Rhodes
CM Punk vs Rey Mysterio
Triple H vs Sheamus
I do recommend this PPV and would say one of the best PPV's of 2010 so far :)

- Wrestlemania XXVI - 3-Discs Of Danger, Divas & Drama!
I have fond memories of watching those early Wrestlemania matches as a kid. A few of us would sleep over at a friend's place (usually whoever had the biggest TV) and we'd sit up in our sleeping bags watching the wrestlers pound one another while we enjoyed our pizza and Coke (we were too young for beer back then). As time went by I drifted away from wrestling, especially when it was pitted against The Young Ones on TV, but I never completely forgot it. I will always remember when Mr. T turned up with Hulk Hogan for that first Tag Team match! I hadn't thought about it much until I was given a chance to review the new Wrestlemania XXVI DVDs from Silver Vision UK. It may be years later, and I may be a grown man now, but it all came flooding back to me ... The storylines, the suspense, and the laughter. I guess that's what I like about it so much - just like comic books and episodic television, the world of WWE has its own rich mythology - a history and a back story which sets the scene for every encounter that takes place. It's not just about 2, 3, 10 or even 26 men in a ring; it's about honour, respect and deep-seated rivalries that go back over many years.
So, what classic matches did Wrestlemania XXVI hold in store? Well, quite a lot actually. I've missed a lot of the background and build-up to these stories in the years I was away, but most encounters were preceded by a package of clips and some good commentary to bring you up to speed. Everyone will have a favourite, but for me the battle to watch was the No Holds Barred Match between Bret "Hit Man" Hart and Mr. McMahon. I'm not particularly a fan of either character, but the storyline between these two goes back 13 years, with a lot happening in between. To see the resolution of this grudge match, and the appearance of the entire Hart family ringside, made it one to watch. It was also technically McMahon's last professional bout before he retired, though he has since returned to the ring in other capacities. No Holds Barred matches are always fun, especially since they seem to guarantee the appearance of at least one chair.
Another fun match to watch was the legendary Money In The Bank Ladder Match with 10 men, 20 ladders, and one tiny ring. The idea is to take out your opponents and use one of the 20 nearby ladders to reach a briefcase suspended high above the ring. The first one to do it gains a signed contract for a championship match at a time of their choosing ... It is, as the title says, 'money in the bank'. Watching these larger fights is fun on its own, but the introduction of the ladders makes for some interesting tactics and manoeuvres. If nothing else, it provides a lot of laughs, as did the 26-man Battle Royal which was shown in highlight form during the Wrestlemania festivities. It's this combination of fun and over-the-top antics which keeps wrestling fresh and exciting after all these years. Dipping into the odd match here and there might feel a little stupid, but if you allow yourself to absorb the atmosphere and get sucked into the storylines, then you'll find it makes for entertaining viewing.
One of the great things they have now, which they didn't have when I was a kid, is the presence of the WWE Divas. A lot of men would just get excited at the thought of female wrestlers, but these wrestlers are hot - and they cover pretty much every fetish and nationality group too! They're not as convincing or as compelling as the men, but they make for great eye-candy during a testosterone-fuelled event like Wrestlemania. On this occasion the Divas took to the ring in a 10-Diva Tag Team Match. That's right, 5-on-5, with each girl having her own time in the spotlight. I can only imagine what a match like this would have done to our group of boys back when I was a kid ... The DVDs are packed with much more than I've touched upon (it's actually a 3-disc set) but, suffice to say, with over 8 hours running time you get a lot of bang for your buck. Wrestlemania XXVI is now available in a standard version, deluxe edition with lenticular cover, and Blu-ray format. See more reviews like this at Pop Culture Hound (popculturehound dot com).
