5 star(s) - excellent Gta game

GTA is the best game i have played on ps3, cool visuals varied characters and a storyline full of twists and turns. I found the game to be very immersive you play as Niko new to america who is thrust into a world of crime. Extra moves can now be performed such as ducking behind car doors to sheild from enemies using environments as cover. Injuries that you can inflict are also alot more varied and realistic than in previous gta games. The in game
music is cool and chat show radio stations such as WKTT are funny and also have the trademark dark humour style of the gta games. The sat nav system in cars makes getting your way around the huge in game map easier and more fun. You can also go on nights out with in game characters bowling, snooker, bars gameplay is fun and immersive combat and targeting vastly improved and i reccomend this game to ps3 owners.

5 star(s) - GTA IV - The must have for PS3

I've been a gamer for while. I've also played GTA since it's first appearance.
There is only one thing to say about this game: It is one of the best games I've ever played. The graphic and game engine are fabulous, the liberty that your character have is wonderful. It's a little world inside a Blu-Ray DVD.
I cannot imagine what would be a GTA V!

I can honestly recommend you this game, since it's a digital masterpiece.

5 star(s) - GTA 4

When I first started playing this game, I admit I didn't really get into it. I just didn't feel like it was on the same level as the likes of the others in the series. It was still good but not great which I expect the GTA series to be. However, after playing in a good couple of hours and getting off the first island, the story and gameplay really started picking up and after just completing it I'm left with the feeling that it's up there with the best in the series if not higher.

Plot: You play an immigrant getting off a boat to start life in America. You then work your way up from the lowest of the low to up there with the big time people. Like most GTA games I know but with the twists and turns throughout the game, the story never gets old.

Graphics: Just wow. From the rain hammering down while the leaves are blown around in it to the bullet holes and blood stains on the car, it was like watching a movie sometimes. Especially when switching to cinematic view while driving around the streets.

Sound: Everyone has a different voice. I know most people take it for granted nowadays but you still get some games that just have the same guy time after time talking for all the characters which in my opinion doesn't really help the story around. Every sound is very realistic too and the little touches like people chatting on the streets to each other while going past them really add to the whole experience.

Controls: They are quite a bit different to the usual GTA controls and to begin with I couldn't get to grips with them. However, once you stick with it, you will end up actually liking these controls better then the old one. They just make it so much easier to get around. Another thing that I think is worth of putting in the controls section is the car handling. The cars are alot heavier and different cars drive differently to each other. Not just in speed but in braking, turning etc. Quite a difference to the wood like driving of the previous games and a welcome addition in my opinion.

Lifespan: The game took me just under 40 hours doing the main mission alone. You could probably knock off up to 15 hours off that time as I took my time completing it. If you add the extra side missions to it, I reckon you could get a game of 60 hours if not more.

Overall: True it has it's problems like the long restart of a mission if you mess up but it has so many great qualities too like the addition of playing stealth like hiding behind boxes etc and the depth to the story. So all in all it's a great addition to the GTA family and I shall look forward to playing Liberty City Stories.

5 star(s) - One of the best

I have to say honestly that it's taken me a while to really get into this game. I have been a massive fan of the GTA series since it was first released on the PC. The latest incarnation is however simply breathtaking. The visuals are jaw dropping in their realism. Driving/ walking around the streets of Liberty City is almost like actually being in New York City/ Chicago. The skyscrapers and apartment blocks for example, or the bridges across the river (I know Chicago hasn't got any as grand as New York). It's the small details however that really bring home just how like America it really is. The hand signals on traffic lights/ crossings, the billboards on freeways, the street lighting systems. The character visuals are also superb and are very lifelike. Granted they may not move correctly but to find criticism is being pedantic.

The visuals may themselves be superb, but what of the gameplay? That is the real selling point. There are literally hundreds of missions with their own little sub-plots. Completing each mission brings you further into the game and opens up all manner of new places to explore and people to meet. You actually become Nico Bellic the more you play this game. I find it hard to put the game down when I play because I get so absorbed in the general ambience of the gameplay. That is the true test of a good game; whether it is easy to put down. This certainly isn't. I haven't completed it as of yet, but no doubt will do eventually. Hopefully the next game in the series will continue where this has left off.
