5 star(s) - another great French horror

This has to be one of my favourite horror films.
2 girls go to one of the girls family home for a holiday.
Then turns up a Psycho who relentlessly hunts them down and slaughters them. The girls have to hide and try to escape from this brutal killer.
Claustrophobic gore fest with a fantastic twist at the end.
The French have done it again with a fantastic gory horror with a twist.
Recommended !

5 star(s) - Tres horible!

This Blotchesque classic is the tale of two girls who go away to spend a short break with the parents of one of the pair. Whilst staying there, the parents are murdered in cruel psychopathic style, by a lone stranger with a penchant for decapitation. One of the girls is tied up and kidnapped by the stranger and driven off into the night presumably for later attention. It then falls to her distressed friend to track her down and rescue her. But, as if that wasn't bad enough, this situation is much less straightforward than it seems ...

A nice piece of old school French horror, which has a couple of deliciously nasty twists that piece themselves together in fine style at the end.

5 star(s) - Gallic Gem

What's got into the French lately ?. We've had Frontiers, Inside, Martyrs and this. All of these films are highly recommended horrors.
This is a cracking little number with plenty of gore and suspense and an eye-catching "heroine" in Cecile de France.

Definately worth a purchase imo. Lets hope the French can keep it up... they're on a roll.

5 star(s) - really enjoyable

what we have here is a fantastic atmospheric horror with enough splatter to keep the gorehounds happy!!!
the basic story is that 2 girls retire to the countryside away from distractions so that they can revise for exams, all goes well until the first night a loony shows up and slaughters the family and kidknapps one of the girls. from here on the tension is cranked all the way upto 10 and beyond and the direction is exceptional.
the 2 girls but in real fullblooded performances and the film flys past at a cracking speed, there isnt a single section where you are left to get bored as something is always happening.
yes ok the end will be something that people are going to argue about...but i thought it was quite clever and ust added to the sick carnival of loonacy that had gone on for the rest of the film.
if you want a horror film that relies on more than just gore then this is well worth having a look at.

5 star(s) - Scarringly terrifying!

Believe it or not this scared the pants off me.Ok there are things that happen in the movie (without giving too-much away) that don't appear to make any sense but this without a doubt is one of the best horrors I have seen. The movie is actually more of a psychological thriller blended with a kind of love story. The last scene will make you cringe and grab your partner,if you have one.
