5 star(s) - Perfect

I had a Philips DVD which had the usb support and Divx support. What I was looking for was a Blu-ray at a reasonable price that offered me these options also.
The LG BD370 DVD/Blu-ray player, does all that and some.....!!!
It took me only a couple of minuets to hook it up to the internet and download firmware updates. Also had a look at the YouTube option. It also allows you to down load bonus stuff relating to the Blu-Ray movie your watching if available. Don't really use YouTube that much so I really am not the best person to comment on that side of it.
But the Divx and usb support are first class. Also being able to view pictures and play music straight off the memory stick is very good.
I have a Samsung full HD 40" TV so it shows any glitches up very quickly. The Philips DVD did have issues when playing some Divx movies if there was really fast action or high foliage and would stutter. The LG had no issues with this at all. The up scaling worked perfectly also. The start time, from boot to playing a Blu-Ray movie was also extremely fast, some 15 - 20 seconds.
So if your looking for a stylish, good quality Blu-Ray with a lot of extra's for under £200 this is the one for you.

5 star(s) - A fabulous reasonably priced Blu-ray player

Finally took a foray into the world of Blu-ray with this purchase, as was not at all impressed with the quality of upscaling DVD players (nor the speed of operation of my existing upscaling DVD player).

The LG looks sleek - the cool blue ring displayed on the front off-sets the sleek black finish to the unit perfectly. It boots really quickly, playing Blu-ray discs in a matter of seconds. It upscales DVDs well too. The 1080p output is crisp and hugely impressive, a definite improvement on the 1080i output from Sky+ HD. Sound is impressive too.

The LG is also remarkably simple to use, I had this connected to the internet within minutes of unpacking it, and it had in that time the firmware had been updated and I'd had time to look at the YouTube functionality. The YouTube support is a tad gimmicky, but it's quite a nice feature (kinda like having video on demand) and works well.

The BD Live functionality works simply enough too(although, so far, the content offered is a bit thin on the ground, although have only tried this so far with the Watchmen Director's Cut disc).

The home menu display, from where you access settings and can play DIVX from memory sticks, etc is also slick looking and all of the options and settings are simple to access, navigate and set.

All in all, for the price, I cannot recommend this player highly enough. It looks good, it's feature rich, is fast, it's easy to use and it outputs a fabulous 1080p picture.

5 star(s) - Looks good plays well & a good price

I bought this to match my LG HDTV it is one of the best looking players on the market & plays everything well & not to long to bootup, Even had a decent picture on my old tube tv.
The internet link up is very easy just plugged it in then it prompted me for updates etc. The you tube function works well I will look at stuff on my TV from youtube instead of my laptop from now on.
Plays anything I have chucked in it after changing to region 0.
The remote could be better but for the money its fine.
Great player for the price & looks
Edited to say the USB is very usefull too good for looking at pic's or any other movies you might have etc

5 star(s) - I prefer it to my Sony

I bought this as a second bluray player so didn't want to spend too much. I already had a Sony (my first experience of Bluray).

In comparison to the Sony the LG boots far quicker, is smaller in size (the depth of the Sony means it's difficult to connect the cables at the back when placed in a cabinet) and is just as good in picture quality.

The LG's ability to connect direct to ethernet makes it easy to update too, unlike the Sony for which you have to download and create an ISO formatted CD - not a simple task for many of us.

I've tried the link to You-Tube but it's really not that important to me, it works well though.

I thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a no-nonsense machine that's easy to set up and operate with minimal fuss.

5 star(s) - Simply brilliant!

Spent a long time choosing between this and the panasonic/sony equivelents. Was a little concerned as i associate LG as a cheaper brand, but in my opinion this is a premium product and blows the others out of the water!

On samsung LED series 6 TV it looks AMAZING! the disks load very quickly and picture quality is fantastic. DVD upscaling works well too. I've not used the live features yet - but it has a fantastic trick up its sleeve in the form of the codec player - plug in a usb or cd/dvd with your bit torrent files on and it brings them all up in a library to choose from - excellent! It has played everything i have thrown at it so far - and may just save me the money I was going to spend on popcorn hour or cyclone!

Unit looks nice - remote is a bit 'cheap' looking but all works fine.

I would be careful if ordering from hughes direct. they sent the unit with no packaging and just an address label on the box - clear for all to see what it is, and the box was tatty on arrival. I was impressed it was still in my office when i went to get it!

Could not ask more from a player at twice this price!
