- Solid solution

I bought this to hang my Sony 40 inch V4000 which weighs 19kg. This item is capable of the job even though the back plate which fixes to the wall looks pretty small compared to the TV width. This initially made me think I may have made a mistake in selecting this product. However after fitting, I feel the bracket is more than adequate and provides a secure and cost effective solution.

The instructions are no more than a sequence of outcomes only a paragraph long, but used with the picture on the box it is fairly easy to work out. All the screws of various thickness's are contained in small bags numbered 1 through to 7 and you can ignore the bags which are not suitable for your TV. Just use the screws you need and the bags containing generic components and store the rest of the bags away.

To fix the wall plate, there are 6 wall plugs and 6 thick screws with nut heads so you need a spanner. Use a separate spirit level, on board one was inaccurate for me.

To fix the two arms with hooks to back of TV open the bag which contains the screws of correct thickness, by trial and error or use instructions which do give dimensions. Once you have selected the bag with the correct thickness screws you will see that each bag contains 4 short screws , 4 long screws and 4 spacers. If you intend not use the spacers then you will not need the long screws and vice versa. Just keep the 4 unused screws in case you change your mind later.

I used the long screws with the spacers as without them I only had 2.5cm clearance which is not enough for any of the inputs I had. With the spacers I now have 5.5cm and can fit HDMI and scart with a 90 degree adaptor purchased form here.

If you want to avoid using the spacers you could make a clearing in the wall to give more room but it was a bit too much effort for not much gain so I have left it for now. It still looks very good. All my input cables are 5m long (from Amazon) and fed through to back room, and then back again at the corner of the room to the AV sources. So no wires are visible except in back room where they are in some cable trunking and hidden behind furniture.


I would advise two people are there for lifting the TV onto the back plate as you need to put your head against the wall to ensure you have hooked the top and bottom. Then finally slide the long metal bar and use a padlock if required to ensure TV does not slide horizontally if pushed from either side and cannot be stolen.

Good product and I recommend it to family and friends if they are do not need extra's such as capability to tilt. This item allows you to tilt 5 degrees only.

- Value for money

1) Value for money is superb - you couldn't buy the nuts, bolts and washers for that at B&Q. It's simple, sturdy and well designed.
2) It's straightforward to fit - use the bolts that fit your TV and ignore the others. The only decision to make is whether you want to use the spacers to give yourself some extra space behind for cables (you probably will).
3) The built in spirit level seems to be hit and miss (it was way out on mine) so at least check it with a proper one first.
4)It includes an adapter to tilt it down 5 degrees.
5) Buy the silver one for £3 less - you can't see it once it's mounted :)

- Hama makes life easy

what with all the LCD/Plasma wall brackets there is on the market it isn't easy picking the right one for the job!. i picked this one as it looks like its made for the job. the real thing that makes it stand out from the rest is it has its own spirit level. i had this on the wall and my Plasma hung with in 20 minutes. i would give this bracket 10/10 for price and build.

- Great bracket

I bought this some time ago now but wow still at an outstanding price this bracket may look cheap but does the job fine this bracket actuly fouls my av inputs i.e scart connection thankfuly though I don't use scart so if you get a bracket type like this make sure the mounting holes are not directly above the av inputs.
one other thing aswell is that this bracket come not only the wall fixings but some spacers aswell, lets face it NO ONE is gone sqeeze at HDMI cable in the space of less than 20mm, mine hangs off the wall about 2 inchs however my TV design has an indent or small depression for the av inputs to go into which helps to connect the cables (designed for that purpose)

- Excellent Item

Simply a great purchase.

Bought to go with my Toshiba Regza 32" tv and its a perfect match.
Took no longer than 20 mins to get my screen onto the wall (and I am far from DIY literate!).

Only minor problem is that the power cable is pressed hard up against the wall, not a big issue.

Great piece of kit for less than £20 delivered.
